TÄHTVRE DANCE CENTER'S TRAVELING PRODUCTION "GUTENBERG"
Premiere 26.08.2021
The young dancers of Tähtvere Dance Center conquered the courtyard, basement and rooftops during the Aparaaditehas festival and took the audience on a journey through the fascinating history of the Aparaaditehas in the footsteps of our famous house cat "Johannes Gutenberg". The dance performance was also made into a short film, which was screened at the PÖFF children's and youth film festival Just Film in 2021. 70 dancers and 8 choreographers participated in the creation of the production. There were 16 performances in total.
Creators from Tähtvere Dance Center speak about its experience this way:
"Participating in the open cultural platform of Aparaaditehas was a very exciting, developing and very pleasant collaborative project for the Tähtvere Dance Center. The spaces and atmosphere there were inspiring and gave us the opportunity to create something unique that could not have been created anywhere else. The Aparaaditehas has a mystery, a lot of history and legends, as well as freshness, momentum and youthful energy. This place captivates both participants and the audience. The open cultural platform gives us the opportunity to discover the Aparaaditehas from new angles, the only limit is your own imagination."
GROUP EXHIBITION "FOREST FAIRY TALES" IN THE HALL OF LOVE
08.07-29.07.21
Hall of Love
The exhibition "Forest Fairy Tales" by four artists - Birgot Kivinurme, Ekvilibrist, Maari Soekov and Kert Mõttus - was a collection of texts, photographs, paintings and music, inspired by the authors' spiritual searches and experiences of self-creation.
The authors themselves have said this about their exhibition:
""Forest Fairy Tales"" is an attempt to make sense of and depict the different layers and facets of human existence as earthly lessons from a forest fairy. Every visitor to the exhibition has the opportunity to recognize themselves and their place in this world in these universal descriptions, realizations, and insights.
Rõõt is the daughter of the forest goddess, who was born in the forests of Estonia to protect the local nature and all living things, especially people. To do this, however, she must first understand being a human being, both their physical and psychological nature. She observes, experiences and learns how a person relates to themselves and their surroundings, and based on this leaves behind words, images and sounds that could guide any person who gets lost in the vastness of the forest, back to the path and forward if they wish.
"Forest Fairy Tales" shows the universal trials, dilemmas and lessons of being human. The exhibition aims to show the symbiosis of Estonians with nature and its rhythms, especially with the forest, which is why the photographs were taken in different seasons in different forests of Estonia."

INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION "MIDNIGHT SELF-PORTRAIT"
18.09.2021
"Midnight Self-Portrait" was an interactive installation, one could also say an art hall resembling a game board, perhaps a safe home, perhaps a journey into oneself.
“Midnight Self-Portrait” attempted to delve deeper into the core and highlight topics that were currently important to the participating artists: loneliness, the meaning of femininity in society, limitations in self-realization, eco-anxiety, high expectations for oneself, self-searching. These topics formed the artists' self-portraits, which visitors could encounter. Poetry, painting, music and improvisational movement were used as media.
The event was attended by Aliis Aalmann, Liisa Mudist, Benjam Kankila, Maris Pedaja, Maria Ivanova, Henry Griin and Mari Pihl.

EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC AND PSYCHEDELIC VISUAL ART PRESENTATION "DOG DREAMS"
03.12.2021
Hall of Love
Dyvour is an experimental musician from Tartu County. His goal is to break the boundaries of genres and create something unique that he likes above all. Dyvour presented his album “Dog Dreams”, which took the listener to a world where the boundaries of reality are blurred and the dreamlike environment oscillates between comfortable nostalgia and anxious nightmare. The album’s theme dives into escapism and explores the existential ideas related to it. The concept started with a simple question “what would dog dreams sound like?”
Dyvour was warmed up by artist MYSTY, who made his solo debut at the concert. This is the newly completed solo project of Tartu producer prodhannes, whose mystical sounds were heard by listeners for the first time on December 3. ,,PRELYD’’ is a work summarizing prodhannes’s musical journey from Siani, combining interpretations of his musical role models and influences. The listener can expect a cacophonous and melodramatic ambiance and dizzying glitch drums.
POLOŠYWA CHRISTMAS CONCERT
18.12.2021
Hall of Love
Elisa Polov, artist name Pološywa, is an Estonian musician active in Austria and Estonia, whose work focuses on experiments with birth sounds and vocal harmony layers. Pološywa's work combines the musician's classical background and love for electronic music. The solo album intertwines the artist's greatest passions - singing, keyboards and the endless world of electronic music - into an ambient and life-celebrating atmosphere.
On October 1, 2021, Pološywa's electronic debut album “Existence” was released. It represents the young artist's emotional journey through the last few years. The eight songs on the debut album give the listener a piece of sincere experiences, thoughts, moods and feelings. This collection of vibrations combines both danceability and human melancholic immersion. The artist's goal is to write interesting and real music that takes the listener into its embrace by entering into a conversation with their feelings. The album was created in collaboration with the renowned French producer Gwenael Damman in his studio in Vienna.
At the Christmas concert held at the Hall of Love, Pološywa performed favorite Christmas songs and music from her electronic debut album "Existence".
