Taskupark is a multifunctional city park open to everyone located in the courtyard of the Aparaaditehas. What makes Taskupark unique is its historical background and location - as a former factory yard, it was an industrial landscape, which has now taken on a completely new look. In addition to various hard surfaces, greenery plays an important role in Taskupark - there is both lawn and mobile flower beds, fruit trees are being planted in the yard, and a greenhouse has already been found. For the little ones, there is a sandbox complex and artificial puddles in Taskupark.
The Aparaaditehas' Taskupark project, which participated in the 2016 Tartu inclusive budget vote, received support from a total of 973 city citizens, which resulted in funding of 75,000 euros. The Pocket Park was completed by the summer of 2017.
Several events popular among Tartu residents take place and have taken place in Taskupark, such as the summer Müürilille tikads, the Tartu Street Food Festival, the Student Days Night Dance Party, Folk Rokib Tartu concerts, the Elektriteatr outdoor cinema and much more.
Taskupark can host a wide variety of events, from fairs to concerts and parties. Good ideas and collaboration proposals are always welcome!
