kiusamisvaba kool // bullying-free school

The mission of the Foundation is to jointly prevent and stop bullying and create a safe and caring educational path for Estonian children to grow into happy people. Established in 2012, the foundation mediates the research and evidence-based KiVa bullying prevention program developed at the University of Turku for Estonian schools. With the help of the KiVa program, children learn to recognize bullying and respond to bullying incidents, with a strong emphasis on raising awareness of the role of bystanders. KiVa involves the entire school family – school staff, students and parents. The foundation’s activities are based on the vision that by 2035, awareness will havegrown in Estonian society on how to create and maintain safe and caring relationships in schools where bullying has no place.
