We are an independent and self-sufficient small bookstore in Tartu. We started our operations at Aparaadithehas in the summer of 2021. The store sells carefully selected new and used books, and you can also spend time on site, drink Chado tea, coffee or wine, and take part in various events.
There are only two of us working at the library – Kristel Kalda and Joosep Vesselov. We have eight hundred regular customers and this number is constantly growing. Behind the creation of the store are also more than 180 people who supported this dream on the crowdfunding platform Hooandja.
Come visit us! The library is located on the Riia Street side of the Aparaaditehase (entrance no. 1). Those arriving by car can leave their four-wheeled vehicles in the Paulus Church parking lot (2 hours free) or in the parking lots on Kastani Street. The bicycle parking lot is right in front of the building. Four-legged friends are also welcome, not to mention two-legged friends of different ages.
The store is open:
Mon-Fri 10-18
Sat 11-16
The Library Reading Club Facebook group can be found here.
