EXHIBITION // "Sun sans Body", Elvira Akžigitova

On the 24th of October at 6PM we're opening Elvira Akžigitova's exhibition "Sun sans Body" in TYPA gallery.
"Sun sans Body" explores light as a shaping, natural, and sensual force. These abstractions, initiated in the photographic darkroom and later developed in the printing studio, transcend fixed origins or defined scenes. Like the sun, projecting itself onto any receiving surface, light and the absence of it act as invisible agents in shaping these works. What you see is not just an image, but selected traces of exposure left on paper by riding a temporal condition.
Elvira Akžigitova was an artist in residence at TYPA in September-October 2024.
