Kogo galeriil on rõõm esitleda August Krogan-Roley isikunäitust „Tühjad vapid“, mis on kunstniku esimene isikunäitus Kogo galeriis ja Eestis. Näituse puhul ilmub kirjastuses Lugemik August Krogan-Roley samanimeline kunstnikuraamat , mis sisaldab 24 reproduktsiooni ning Neil Clementsi kirjutatud saateteksti.

August Krogan-Roley (USA, s.1986 Minneapolises) elab ja töötab Brooklynis, New Yorgis. Ta on õppinud maali- ja trükikunsti Šotimaal Glasgows (BFA, Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow, UK). Tema isikunäitused on toimunud galeriides ja institutsioonides nagu At Liberty, Hong Kong, CN; Ricou Gallery, Brüssel, BE; Three Four Three Four Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; Soo Visual Arts Center, Minneapolis and Generator Projects, Dundee, UK. Tema töid on näidanud Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, UK; Kate Werble Gallery, New York, NY; The Glue Factory, Glasgow, UK; RATA Projects, New York, NY ja Shoreditch Town Hall, London, UK.

Kogo is pleased to announce Empty Coats, a solo exhibition by August Krogan-Roley. This marks the artist’s first solo exhibition with the gallery and in Estonia. The exhibition is accompanied by August Krogan-Roley’s new artist’s book by the same title with 24 reproductions and a text by Neil Clement, published by Lugemik.

August Krogan-Roley (USA, b.1986 in Minneapolis, MN) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. He received a BFA in Painting and Printmaking at The Glasgow School of Art, Glasgow, UK. Krogan-Roley has held solo exhibitions at institutions including At Liberty, Hong Kong, CN; Ricou Gallery, Brussels, BE; Three Four Three Four Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; Soo Visual Arts Center, Minneapolis and Generator Projects, Dundee, UK. His work has been exhibited at venues such as Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, UK; Kate Werble Gallery, New York, NY; The Glue Factory, Glasgow, UK; RATA Projects, New York, NY; and Shoreditch Town Hall, London, UK.

The exhibition is supported by The Cultural Endowment of Estonia and by the city of Tartu.
